Artists submitting their memorial designs

The artists commissioned by the Australian War Memorial, utilising the funds raised
by the Foundation from generous Ex Service Organisations and individuals, are
finalising their submissions to the AWM and the Foundation Committee.
These submissions will be presented at a meeting on 3 September 2025 at the AWM
and a preferred design will be selected.

At this time we should also learn where, in the grounds of the AWM, the completed
sculpture will be located.

Following this step in the process the Committee will know how much money we
need to raise to achieve our goal. Only after this will work commence.

It would be nice to have it completed by the 31 August 2026, being the 60th
anniversary of the end of the Indonesian Confrontation with Malaysia, but that would
require a very rapid accumulation of the required finances.

The chosen design will be posted on this website as soon as possible.
